Part 2 - Install Joomla! on Your Webserver
1. The first installation screen asks you to select a language.
2. The second installation screen is the Pre-Installation Checklist. Examine your server's settings to check for compatibility with Joomla. The top section is the most important. Most commercial wehosting companies have configurations compatible with Joomla.

4. The fourth installation screen is the Database Configuration:
- Type: choose 'mysql'.
- Host: this is usually 'localhost'. If you are using a hosting service that has the database on another server, use the host name they provide. For example, Godaddy outsources their database servers, so you might use something like 'mysql143.secureserver.net'.
- Username: this is the username you chose when you set up the database user.
- Password: this is the password you chose whn you set up the database user.
- Database Name: this is the name you chose when you set up the database.
- Advanced Settings:
- 'Delete existing tables': if this database has Joomla tables in it already and you want to overwrite it, choose this option.
- 'Backup old tables': if you want to keep a copy of the old tables before it deletes them, choose this option.
- Table Prefix: if this database contains another Joomla installation you can change the default prefix to keep these separate.
5. The fifth installation screen is the FTP Configuration: If you wish to enable FTP file system layer, enter a ftp username and password here. This optional feature is used on shared hosting servers with permissions issues. See http://help.joomla.org/content/view/1941/302/1/2/ for more information.
6. The sixth installation screen is the Main Configuration: Enter the Site's name, the admin username and password. Load Data: if this is a new site, click on the Install Sample Data button *before* moving to the next screen. If you are using a migration script to move your site from Joomla 1.0 to 1.5, click the Load Migration Script option.
