Some template clubs offer an installation package that includes both the template and sample data as shown in their demo. (See YooTheme, RocketTheme and TemplatePlazza demos as an example.)
This is very convenient because each template has its own module positions which may not correspond to the module positions used in the Joomla sample installation.
Follow the same procedure as in Joomla Installation: Standard Joomla Installation.
Note: This can only be done on a new site as the sample data for the database will overwrite your own data.
Caution: Not all template clubs keep the Joomla version updated in these installation packages. For example, if the template package was created when Joomla was at release 1.5.8 and Joomla is now at release 1.5.15, you may need to upgrade Joomla to the latest release after installing.
