Restricting access to particular or all directories
I have a problem, here are the details, I have a joomla 1.5 website on which I have a users in which they login to see a our picture galleries we use ftp program to upload many pictures to the site everyday in their different directories, my problem is that I want users to see pictures or content from one directory only or the directories (galleries) I assign them to see and not all the directories (galleries). I hope I explained myself clearily.
please tell me what to do?

You should be able to restrict the home directory of the ftp user.
For example, if a user is uploading to /public_html/images/myfolder, set up a new ftp user and indicate this as their home directory. They will not be able to see anything above this folder, only the "myfolder" directory and any subdirectories of "myfolder".
