pop down menus
How do I create a pop-down (pull-down) sub-menu?
I can create a horizontal menu:
"Home" "Current Events" "Contact Us" "Web Links" "Search"
I want to have sub-menus under each one above.

For example, if you want a dropdown under the "Current Events" tab, you would create a new menu link and indicate the "Parent Item" as "Current Events".
Your template has to have the dropdown css for this to work. The default templates that come with the Joomla installation do not have dropdown menus. However, the free RocketTheme Afterburner template does, and most all commercial template clubs include the dropdown style menu (sometimes called "suckerfish").

Correction -- the JA_Purity template that is installed with Joomla DOES have the dropdown menu. In the template parameters under "Horizontal Navigation Type" you can choose "Suckerfish Menu".
